Charlestown’s Haunted History Walks is offering several different unique walks.
The Haunted Walk – describes events and people from the past that still, after hundreds of years, need to make their presence known and some to relive the horrible incidents in their lives.
The Haunted History Walk – takes the stories from the Haunted Walks and give them a twist by adding several historical event tales that possibly connect them to the Haunted stories.
The History Walk – will take you through down town Charles Town, Edge Hill Cemetery and Zion Episcopal Churchyard graves; as it fills you with the history and historical people that made Charles Town’s history. Many of the history is well known and some is information that has been known only to few people.
All of our walks will give you Town Folk Lore, Tales that have been told from generations down and eyewitness accounts of men, women and children that from time to time feel the need to make their presence known.
Cameras are welcome!
Join us! Our guided walks are an excellent opportunity for you to visit buildings, houses, grave sites, etc. that were in existence during the Civil War times. You may come away with more knowledge of the history and haunting of Charles Town, West Virginia then you ever expected to!
Our tours run mostly on either a Friday or Saturday night from April 1st through December.
We also run tours, weather permitting, during the week or a request date to meet the convenience of any special group by special appointment.
Most of our Summer Tours begin at 8:00 pm, but the definite starting times will be posted prior to the events.
